FIND OUT WHO THE GUESTS OF THE “READING FORWARD. DIALOGHI SULLA BIBLIOTECA” PROJECT WERE
In Cuneo, since 2024, together with directors of leading international libraries, we have shared expertise and experiences and explored innovative management models capable of responding to the contemporary challenges of the library and cultural sector.
Many topics were addressed: from transmedia storytelling to digitisation, from research and training to accessibility and inclusion, and finally local identity and community engagement, in an effort to respond to the needs of contemporary society and to define the role of the library today and in the future.
The series of meetings was inaugurated in November 2024 by Neus Castellano Tudela, Director of the Gabriel García Márquez Library in Barcelona (Spain). This was followed in 2025 by Krist Biebauw, Director of the “De Krook” Library in Gent (Belgium); Reinert Mithassel, Head of the “Deichman Biblo Tøyen” branch in Oslo (Norway); Roel Van den Bril, Cultural Coordinator at the “Het Predikheren” Library in Mechelen (Belgium); Vincent Eches, Director of the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée in Angoulême (France), together with Roel van den Sigtenhorst, Director General of Muntpunt in Brussels (Belgium). In 2026 we had guests Ilona Kish, Director of Public Libraries 2030 European Platform, and Marie Østergaard, Director of Public Libraries of Aarhus (Denmark).
